Value Added Foods Chef
We’re hiring a part-time Chef/Lead Cook!
Mountain Roots is launching a new Soup Share and value-added foods program, and we’re looking for a culinary creative to help build it. This role designs and prepares weekly soups at commercial scale, using fresh, local, and rescued ingredients, and guides a small AmeriCorps kitchen crew.
Perfect for an experienced chef who loves creativity, community impact, and flexible hours. Opportunity to grow into small-batch value-added products as the program expands.
1–2 days/week • $26–$28/hr • Free ski pass

Americorps positions
YOUR BRIDGE FROM COLLEGE TO CAREER
As a bridge from college to career, we offer immersive experiences in education, food security, and regenerative agriculture. Our positions combining rigorous, hands-on training, classroom learning, and in-the-field experience. You’ll receive both formal and informal training, participate in peer-to-peer learning, and over time you’ll gain more responsibility and be expected to grow in your independence. We use an AmeriCorps structure to provide apprentices with a basic living allowance and a substantial education award upon completion.
