Gunni Grows! Gardener network

Community Gardens – Home Gardener Network – Fresh Food Donations

From beginner to expert, we have gardening opportunities for anyone in the valley interested in growing food and connecting with others who do too. If you grow at home, join our home gardening network and if you need a space, come cultivate at one of our community gardens!

Community Gardens

More friends, more food, less work—a collaborative twist on the classic community garden. Working together, we’re able to grow twice as much food.

Join one of our three community gardens, which are open to the public and provide a space to grow produce in town on common ground.

Sunshine Garden

The Sunshine Garden is a space located at the Gunnison Rec Center. We work in collaboration with the City of Gunnison Senior Meals Program. Half of the produce grown goes to the senior meal program, and the other half goes to our Backyard Harvest Food Rescue & Relief program.

There will be open garden hours, classes, events, and more. Stay tuned for more info on this amazing community garden!

This location is brought to you in part by a grant from the Gunnison Home Association.

Gunnison Rec Center, 200 E Spencer Ave

Bill’s Park

This space is a membership based Common Ground community garden. All participants cultivate the space in collaboration and the produce harvested is shared among the gardeners, as well as contributed to Mountain Roots food relief efforts. Working together, we’re able to grow twice as much food in the space with half as much work. Any level of gardener is welcome!

Bill’s Park is located at the corner of 14th & Georgia, Gunnison.

CULTIVEMOS COTTONWOOD COMMUNITY GARDEN

We began three new community partnerships at the Community Gardens, including a WIC (Women, Infants and Children nutrition program) garden club, hosting support groups with Project Hope and a collaboration with Inmigrantes Unidos to revive the Cottonwood garden, now known as "Cultivemos Cottonwood".
